Hello and welcome to the official website of the Gloster Fancy Canary Council International (GFCCI).
The GFCCI is a dedicated body of experienced breeders and enthusiasts committed to protecting, guiding, and promoting the Gloster Canary in accordance with the original vision of the breed’s founders. Our aim is to safeguard the integrity of the Gloster while supporting the continued development of the Fancy around the world.
As the newly elected Vice Chairman, I have the honour of joining the Council at an important and exciting time. The Council is currently undergoing a period of renewal and expansion, strengthening its international presence and working closely with Gloster fanciers and specialist clubs across many countries.
The Council remains committed to offering support, guidance, and advice to member clubs and societies, particularly during challenging times for the bird fancy. Issues such as the restrictions imposed through DEFA/APHA regulations on general licences for bird gatherings continue to affect many fanciers, and the Council stands ready to assist wherever possible.
Through this website, we hope to improve communication, share knowledge, and strengthen the international Gloster community for the benefit of present and future generations of breeders.
